How do we work?
Our company
Onion peeling company Ongena is a family business that manages the entire process from sowing to cutting and packaging. By working with our own products and machines from A to Z, we can guarantee our customers products of very high quality. We are proud of our work, so we are happy to introduce you to our way of working.
On the field
Our quality control begins with the seed. We closely monitor growth in the field.
For effective preservation, our onions are first dried in the field.
Intake
Our tractors pick up the dried onions and transport them to our nearby warehouse.
This is followed by intake in our own warehouse just a few meters from our onion processing space.
Machinery
Our high-tech machinery perfectly processes the onions to your specifications. Onions can be cut into a wide range of shapes and sizes.
Our machines are aligned so that onions can be packed fresh immediately after cutting.
Transport
The fresh onions are brought to the customers by our own refrigerated fleet.
